About The Position

Successfully pick, pack, and ship customer orders in a timely manner. Additionally, successfully support other functions of the warehouse as needed including Machine Operating, Truck Loading and Stocking. Support will be determined day-to-day by the Supervisor.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent is desired.
  • At least 1 year of DecoPac Warehouse experience required (Internal Applicants)
  • At least 1 year of shipping or related experience required (External Applicants)
  • Ability to work flexible schedule with occasional overtime and/or weekend hours for full-time shifts.
  • Demonstrates competency and knowledgebase in multiples functions within the DecoPac Warehouse including Shipping, Stocking, Machine Operating and/or Truck loading.
  • Demonstrates job performance at a level that meets expectations.
  • Ability to use stairs to work on a second level of the shipping floor.
  • Ability to lift, push/pull up to 45 lbs., bend, stoop, or reach above the shoulders and below the knees in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to communicate verbally with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Ability to follow instruction on work processes.
  • Ability to maintain working relationship with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Possess problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work in different functions as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, and check orders to ensure quality and timely processing.
  • Operate integrated warehouse systems including handheld barcode scanners.
  • Achieve individual performance standards.
  • Observe inventory levels to prevent product shortages.
  • Use and understand Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Report food safety concerns to Warehouse Management, SQF Practitioner or HR. If open food product is found, set it aside and immediately notify Warehouse Management or the SQF
  • Answer any internal customer radio calls.
  • Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
  • Maintain equipment being used
  • Report on any issues concerning equipment to Maintenance and Supervisor.
  • Help diagnose issues with equipment.
  • Keep up with high demand/volume.
  • Answer any internal customer radio calls.
  • Look at the stocking report, identify items that need replenishment and act accordingly.
  • Placing product in correct location on pick lines.
  • Ensure all labeling is correct, bar codes exist, and system information meets regulations. Report any discrepancies to the floor supervisor.
  • Utilize computers to look up and order stock.
  • Communicate with forklift drivers, receiving employees and pickers to ensure proper product placement needs.
  • Transfer quantities and monitor the quality of stock.
  • Loads and secures and unloads cargo.
  • Determines the appropriate placement of package by scanning and reading labels, and memorizing information to sort packages accordingly.
  • Must efficiently communicate with shipping for trailer changes and other times when the line must shut down for periods of time.
