About The Position

The Warehouse Driver is responsible for transporting steel materials between locations using a flatbed truck. This role involves ensuring the vehicle is in safe operating condition, securing loads properly, and delivering cargo on time. The driver must maintain accurate trip records, adhere to all traffic laws and DOT regulations, and communicate effectively with various parties. The position requires frequent travel, including multiple-day trips from Fort Mohave, AZ to Utah, which may involve overnight stays.

Requirements

• Class A license
• Clean driving record
• Ability to operate a flatbed truck with ease.
• Ability to work solo or in a team.
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Transport steel materials from one location to another using a flatbed truck.
• Inspect the vehicle for mechanical issues and safety concerns.
• Secure the load with straps, chains, and tarps to prevent damage during transit.
• Deliver the cargo on time and in good condition.
• Maintain accurate records of the trip, including fuel consumption, mileage, and hours of service.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations- safety is priority!
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers.
• Travel multiple days per week from the home base in Fort Mohave, AZ to Utah for work assignments, which may include overnight stays.
