About The Position

This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of materials while also supporting shop operations when not driving. The ideal candidate will have experience operating commercial vehicles and be willing to assist with general shop duties including material handling, fabrication support, and cleanup.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to meet DOT requirements
• Experience with flatbed and load securement preferred
• Previous experience in a shop, steel, or construction environment preferred
• Forklift experience preferred (or willingness to be trained)

Nice To Haves

• Welding experience or certification is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport materials to and from job sites
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance
• Secure loads properly in accordance with safety standards and regulations
• Assist in the shop when not driving, including: Grinding, cutting, and material processing Assisting with welding setup or fabrication support Loading/unloading materials using forklifts or other equipment General yard and shop cleanup
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures at all times
• Maintain accurate delivery and inspection documentation
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and team members
