About The Position

The Warehouse Driver completes deliveries to plant and customer locations, using inventory software to maintain accurate records of shipments and deliveries, manages, stocks and accounts for company warehouse inventory, and maintains safety standards and cleanliness of the warehouse facility. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker, HAZMAT, and air brake endorsements within the first 90 days of employment, and maintain all Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements per the vehicle requirements
  • Ability to pass in person training and MFA Oil Company’s Record of Road test requiring operation of both manual and automatic transmission vehicles within 90 days of employment
  • Ability and willingness to become propane (CETP) certified as determined by the state(s) served
  • Ability to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery, including handheld delivery tracking device.
  • Ability to obtain a forklift operator’s license
  • Requires physical strength and dexterity to walk, stand, bend, climb, reach, stoop, twist and lift/carry 100 pounds
  • Vision, hearing, speech and ability to detect odors
  • Ability and willingness to work with hazardous materials
  • Ability to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles in a variety of weather and road conditions
  • Work scheduled overtime and be available for emergency overtime when the need arises by responding to overtime call outs before and after standard scheduled hours of work
  • Maintain a safe driving record
  • Climb step ladder for cleaning purposes and for retrieving items
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the English language to communicate with customers, coworkers, and supervisors
  • Ability to meet Company requirements, including successful pre-employment background and MVR check, and drug test
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with the Warehouse Supervisor on products, equipment, product procurement and inventory levels.
  • Deliver products to customer and plant locations.
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of our lubricant products when loading and unloading bulk oil trucks.
  • Safely operate vehicle according to MFA Oil Company policies and guidelines, state and federal transportation laws, and other related regulations
  • Adhere to all safety standards & procedures at the warehouse location and while driving company vehicle.
  • Provide feedback regarding route efficiencies and customer needs.
  • Communicate any issues as they relate to safety or efficiencies to supervisor for both trucks and equipment.
  • Inspect customer installations assuring safe, dependable operation. Report any issues to supervisor.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any truck safety issues immediately to supervisor.
  • Answer questions regarding inventory, shipments, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge about all parts, products and services offered by MFA Oil.
  • Understand technical documents as related to warehouse and products.
  • Maintain site standards at the warehouse location.
  • Receive and stock inventory into proper locations within the warehouse location.
  • Complete inventory cycle counts at the warehouse location.
  • Build inventory shipments for delivery to customer and plant locations.
  • Make and receive PO’s for inventory and non-inventory items.
  • Make transfer orders for product transfers within the company.
  • Maintain high level of customer service.
  • Notify supervisor of inventory levels based on usage.
  • Maintain truck and equipment in a neat and clean condition.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area. Always clean when time allows.
  • Follow posted work schedule and adhere to proper clocking procedures to accurately reflect hours worked.
