About The Position

This role at Colony Hardware involves the selection and preparation of merchandise for shipment within a warehouse environment, as well as the safe and responsible delivery of products to customers. The position requires strong attention to detail, prioritizing orders, verifying items, ensuring quality, and proper packing and labeling. Requirements

• At least one year of warehouse or distribution center experience
• Three years of prior commercial driving experience and deliveries
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• A valid driver’s license with a record of sustained safe driving
• A Medical DOT card is required (company can help obtain)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities

• Select merchandise and prepare them out for shipment
• Read pick tickets, prioritizing most critical orders
• Verify items picked match the pick tickets
• Send all picked orders to the packing department after verifying all items are free of defects or damage
• Move the completed orders to appropriate shipment locations
• Pack goods following a specific set of instructions and procedures
• Properly seal and label all shipments
• Help with the delivery of product, bringing items to customers in a safe and responsible manner
