About The Position

The position involves efficiently and accurately pulling items according to customer orders. The employee will work in a warehouse environment, primarily during the hours of 4pm to 8pm, and will be responsible for ensuring that all orders are pulled according to the prescribed picking quota set by management. This includes navigating to the shelf where products are located, identifying the correct product and quantity, and transporting the product to the checking station. The role requires basic computer navigation skills and the use of voice picking and RF scanning equipment. Adherence to safety rules and the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy is essential, as is maintaining accuracy and speed in a repetitive routine.

Requirements

  • Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing product numbers and line codes.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write legibly.
  • Ability to communicate successfully with the voice picking system and adapt speech for system understanding.
  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
  • Navigate to the shelf where the product is located; identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport the product to the checking station.
  • Perform basic navigation on the computer as required.
  • Use voice picking and RF scanning equipment as required.
  • Adhere to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of the facility and specific product line area.
  • Maintain accuracy in repetitive routine while ensuring good speed.
  • Follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materials.

Benefits

  • Starting hourly rate of $21.35/hr up to $25.05/hr after 1 year.
  • Standard work hours from 4pm to 8pm.
