About The Position

As a Warehouse Distribution Lead, you are responsible for leading daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient receiving, picking, loading, and inventory accuracy. The role maintains a safe, compliant work environment, assigns and monitors staff tasks, resolves issues, and supports continuous improvement to keep distribution running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the US
  • Able to lift, pull, and push 50 pounds of weight by oneself
  • Able to stand a full shift while working
  • Able to work evenings and weekends
  • Ability to communicate effectively as needed to carry out job functions, including reading, writing and basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction)
  • Comfortable working in various temperatures including cold environment (34-40 degrees Fahrenheit depending on site) and occasional freezer temperatures that can range anywhere from 0-10 degrees Fahrenheit

  • 9+ months of experience as a team lead or related role in a warehouse, fulfillment center, or related environment
  • 6+ months of experience using technology such as smart phones and tablets, inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
  • Ability to navigate and input information via inventory tracking system
  • Food Safety and HACCP guideline knowledge including proper protein food safety
  • Proficient in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Accuracy and speed in executing tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in team environments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Inventory/Outbound/Shipping/Receiving preferred
  • Forklift certified preferred
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of associates supporting daily warehouse operations
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and optimized work environment across all warehouse areas through enforcing all company safety, sanitation, and food safety standards
  • Oversee & assign daily staff activities
  • Serve as a role model for service quality and compliance
  • Oversee receiving, picking, and inventory control, including processing incoming materials, coordinating order picking and loading, and maintaining inventory accuracy through cycle counts and audits.
  • Ensure carts, supplies, equipment, and facilities are stocked, maintained, and operational
  • Review and communicate daily operational metrics, including productivity, delays, and safety results
  • Identify and resolve operational issues proactively to maintain service levels
  • Walk the floor to observe work, engage with team members, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Complete other duties as assigned
