About The Position

The position involves efficiently and accurately pulling items according to customer orders. The employee will work in a warehouse environment, primarily focusing on order fulfillment. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to navigate basic computer systems and voice picking technology. The standard work hours are Monday through Friday from 11:00 am to 7:30 pm, with an hourly rate starting at $18.35 and increasing to $21.67 after one year of employment.

Requirements

• Must be functionally literate and capable of understanding product numbers and line codes.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write legibly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the voice picking system and adapt speech for system recognition.
• Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform multiplication and division with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification for forklift operation.

Responsibilities

• Pull all orders for the customer according to the prescribed picking quota as set by management.
• Identify the proper product and quantity, pull the product, and transport it to the checking station.
• Navigate basic computer systems as required.
• Use voice picking and RF scanning equipment effectively.
• Adhere to the Stockroom Housekeeping Policy of the facility and specific product line area.
• Maintain accuracy in repetitive tasks while ensuring good speed.
• Follow and adhere to all safety rules, including the handling of hazardous materials.
