About The Position

The Warehouse & Distribution Manager Associate plays a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing the full spectrum of warehouse and distribution operations. This includes assisting Warehouse Management with daily business activities and planning, such as optimizing the storage of purchased materials, ensuring efficient transportation and supply of components to production lines, and guaranteeing the accurate and timely shipment of finished goods to customers. The role also encompasses efficient storage of stock, future warehouse capacity planning, and tracking and improving overall delivery performance, with a strong focus on On Time, In Full (OTIF) metrics. This position is responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and implementing damage controls to safeguard product integrity. Additionally, this role manages or performs work associated with Logistics Planning & Optimization, Warehouse & Distribution Center Operations (including Shipping & Receiving, Inbound/Outbound, Materials Handling), Transportation Management, and related supply chain elements to ensure a seamless flow of materials and products, driven by continuous improvement initiatives and effective staff management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or related work experience required in lieu of degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, train, and evaluate the team (Staff Management), ensuring all members are aligned with best practices in inventory management, adhere to company policies, and are equipped to meet operational goals.
  • Set goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
  • Monitor and improve the On Time, In Full (OTIF) delivery rate, driving strategies to enhance delivery performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure high levels of Inventory Accuracy, minimizing discrepancies between recorded and physical stock to support efficient operations and financial reporting. This includes overseeing regular cycle counts and inventory reconciliation processes.
  • Implement and supervise robust Damage Controls over Inventory, protecting product integrity and minimizing losses due to damage during storage, handling, and transportation.
  • Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
  • Develops and administers schedules, performance requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for Continuous Improvement in inventory management and distribution processes, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, reduce operational costs, and improve service quality. This includes leveraging technology and lean principles.
  • Follow all Plant rules, Processes, Hygiene, and Allergens procedures, related to production of Safe Quality Foods.
  • Report to person of authority to record any potentially unsafe conditions which may result in unsafe foods or noncompliance to SQF related procedures.
  • Participate in Root Cause and Corrective Actions (from customer complaints, SQF audits, validation, and verification activities) as required.
  • Follow all procedures related to producing Safe Quality Foods (SQF).
