About The Position

The ASR Group® portfolio includes the leading brands Domino®, C&H®, Florida Crystals®, Redpath®, Tate & Lyle®, Lyle's®, Sidul® and Whitworths®.  ASR Group® companies also produce and market Tellus®, a single-use, compostable tableware and foodservice product made from plant fibers, including sugarcane.    OVERVIEW The Warehouse Manager is responsible for all operations of the Warehouse & Shipping department. This person manages approximately 80 employees, salaried and hourly personnel, within a union setting.   The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a fast-paced, challenging environment in which achievement in driving change in culture, procedures, and measurable performance was attained.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of Distribution and Logistics experience in a high volume operation of which at least 4 years must be in management
  • Familiarity with Key Performance Indicators in Logistics / Distribution / Customer Service
  • Experience with creating & maintaining various management reports & budgets
  • Experience in Warehouse/Distribution Center lay-outs
  • Accomplished results in Warehouse/Distribution Center performance improvement
  • Supervision experience in a union environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Management, or related area of study

Nice To Haves

  • Consumer Product Goods/ Retail Distribution industry experience is a plus
  • Demonstrated Experience with SAP preferred

Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for product shipping by truck
  • Optimization of facility layout and inventory management
  • Performance monitoring and reporting
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Departmental budgeting
  • Ensure Warehousing and Shipping areas are audit ready at all times
  • Manage bulk loading with multiple liquid and dry trucks per day
  • Liquid Silo tank management
  • Manage railcar loading and associated reliability and capital projects
  • Downstream Packaging Equipment Reliability and Maintenance
  • Manages staff comprised of 4 supervisors and 70+ hourly employees
  • Ensures Labor Contract is followed by all employees, and reports any potential violation
  • Review performance for salaried employees and identify training needs
  • Review and issue disciplinary measures according to the Labor Contract and Company Policy
