About The Position

The Day Freezer Warehouse position performs duties in the warehouse such as receiving and transporting product. Other responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Operating heavy equipment, such as a forklift or pallet jack.Observing inbound drivers to ensure the proper unloading of BEK product shipments and that the procedures are safely and efficiently followed. Reviewing and evaluating unloaded products to ensure BEK quality is met and maintained. Examining paperwork to ensure appropriate products and quantities match inbound loads. Strictly adhering to our safety guidelines Working in any temperature environment including freezer which is 0 degrees ( -10 degrees in ice cream room) Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Rotating Saturdays.

Requirements

• Forklift, pallet jack and mid-rider experience preferred
• Must be 18 years or older
• Basic reading and spelling skills for completion of paperwork
• Solid interpersonal skills
• Enthusiastic self-starter

• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent work ethic
• High School diploma / GED
• Must pass drug screen and physical exam
• Must be able to work in any temperature zone including Freezer, which is 0 degrees ( -10 degrees in ice cream room)
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to work through a +8 hour shift
• Must be able to learn the use of electronic technology.
• Must have normal use of shoulders, arms, wrist, hands, feet and legs.
• Ability to repetitively lift / stack.
• Must be able to lift 30-60 lbs repetitively and heavier items weighing up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• Must be able to bend at the waist; stoop to reach and squat to lift heavy items in a proper manner and operate lift assisting devices.
• Ability to operate heavy warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and forklifts.
• The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds
• Must be able to read numbers and product descriptions.
