Cycle Counting: Perform periodic counts of inventory items to verify the accuracy of the warehouse’s inventory records. This is typically done on a rotating schedule, where different parts of the warehouse are counted on different days or weeks (ABC program). 2. Inventory Reconciliation: Compare the counted quantities against the system’s records. If discrepancies are found, investigate the cause and correct any errors in inventory management. 3. Reporting: Document and report findings, including discrepancies, damages, or other issues discovered during cycle counts. 4. Data Entry: Input inventory data, discrepancies, and adjustments into the warehouse management system (WMS) or enterprise resource planning (ERP) system Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with production, inventory control, procurement, and warehouse staff to ensure stock is correctly tracked and all discrepancies are addressed in a timely manner. 6. Continuous Improvement: Suggest improvements to inventory processes and procedures to increase accuracy and efficiency, such as optimizing storage layouts or enhancing barcode scanning systems. Communicates and works closely to build effective relationships with production supervisors and group leaders.
