About The Position

The Warehouse Counter Sales position is a critical role responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support at the warehouse sales counter. The primary goal is to efficiently manage customer inquiries, process sales transactions, and ensure accurate order fulfillment while maintaining a well-organized and stocked sales area. This role serves as the direct point of contact between the warehouse and customers, requiring strong communication skills and product knowledge to assist customers in selecting the right products for their needs. Additionally, the position involves coordinating with warehouse staff to track inventory levels and facilitate timely order preparation and delivery. Ultimately, the Warehouse Counter Sales associate contributes to the overall success of the warehouse operations by fostering positive customer relationships and supporting smooth sales processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or warehouse operations.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
  • Ability to lift and carry moderate weights (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience working in a warehouse or industrial supply environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory control procedures and warehouse safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with product lines relevant to the warehouse's inventory.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts (with certification).

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist customers at the warehouse counter, providing product information and recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Process sales transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems, including cash handling and credit card processing.
  • Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, restocking shelves, and coordinating with warehouse personnel to fulfill orders promptly.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe sales counter area to enhance the customer experience and comply with safety standards.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues or complaints professionally, and escalate complex concerns to management when necessary.
