Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of warehouse experience.
  • Forklift operating experience (Forklift Certification is a plus).
  • Ability to operate personal computers and software programs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Ability to frequently walk or stand for long hours and lift/move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as a Forklift Operator.
  • Experience as a Box Truck Driver.
  • Computer data entry skills.

Responsibilities

  • Move material within the distribution center and from the loading platform using various material handling equipment.
  • Receive incoming inventory and supply items, logging them into the company warehouse system and stocking them in the proper location.
  • Read work orders and shipping orders or follow verbal instructions to fill customer invoices.
  • Check part numbers, clean, and pack inventory items.
  • Inspect inventory for defects, scratches, or other damage and notify the Warehouse Manager of any issues.
  • Follow all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
  • Track all inventory in the appropriate system and organize the warehouse space as needed.
  • Report any customer problems or concerns immediately.
  • Coach fellow associates on warehouse operational practices and safety procedures when needed.
  • Enforce policies and procedures to ensure efficient and safe warehouse operations.
  • Evaluate current processes and recommend changes to warehouse management.
  • Contribute ideas on ways to reduce warehouse costs and increase productivity.
  • Maintain working knowledge of the warehouse data system and perform various tasks within the system.
  • Deliver supplies and equipment in a timely fashion while observing all regulated DOT and OSHA standards.
