About The Position

The Warehouse Clerk is responsible for shipping and packing of equipment and accessories in our Downey Genuine Parts facility while following the Alliance Laundry Systems quality standards policies and procedures. You should be adaptable, and self-motivated, have exceptional customer service skills, and a willingness to participate. Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent is required.
  • 6 months to 1 year of work experience working in a warehouse and/or parts department.
  • Ability to read and understand packing slips, shipping documents, product labels and serial numbers, as well as safety guidelines.
  • Solid organizational skills and detail-oriented; Ability to self-manage workload and multiple projects simultaneously while managing and meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; Communicate effectively and professionally across all levels of the organization while maintaining a positive and enthusiastic demeanor.
  • Resilient; Able to confidently navigate ambiguity and change.
  • Strong work ethic; Self-starter, demonstrating a proactive approach, self-initiative, and tenacity.
  • Position involves standing long periods, manual dexterity, stooping, bending.
  • Position requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. frequently.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen and use hands to manipulate objects or controls.
  • Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting; close vision and ability to adjust focus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in telephone systems and email/ticketing system-based customer support preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills including using MS Outlook, Word, and Excel preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for picking, packing, and processing orders accordingly.
  • Responsible for daily opening duties of the warehouse area such as opening and closing facility.
  • Responsible for shipment handling and restocking of inventory.
  • Maintains the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner, to include sweep warehouse floor and empty rolling trash dumpster, among others.
  • Provides prompt and courteous customer service to employees and suppliers and effectively communicates customer or service escalations to manager.
  • Contributes to best practices and process improvement.
  • Performs other related, incidental, and similar duties including interdepartmental projects as required.
