The Huntington Store Warehouse Clerks are essential logistics team members who are responsible for managing inventory, processing shipments, and ensuring the smooth flow of goods within Huntington Store warehouse environments located on The Huntington campus. The role requires a blend of physical stamina and sharp attention to detail to minimize errors in a fast-paced setting. S/he/they will demonstrate a background of working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, geographic and socioeconomic backgrounds, using a welcoming, inclusive, and accessible approach.

Requirements

  • Education: high school diploma or GED.
  • Technical Proficiency: Basic computer skills for data entry; familiarity with Microsoft Office (especially Outlook and Excel, and preferably Teams)
  • Attention to Detail: Critical for accurately recording inventory numbers and identifying discrepancies in shipments.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written skills are needed to coordinate with team members, and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

  • Stock receiving and warehousing in a retail environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Load, unload, and maneuver dollies & pallet jacks, inspect incoming goods for damage, and verify contents against purchase orders, invoices, or packing slips.
  • Compare packing lists and invoices against original purchase orders to ensure the correct quantities and products have arrived.
  • Communicate shipment conditions details, manage paperwork such as bills of lading, invoices, and shipping reports, using email, inventory management software, and verbal communication.
  • Notify Operations team immediately when orders are incorrect, missing items, or damaged.
  • Perform cycle counts to verify physical stock against digital records, label items with tags, notify Operations team when quantity discrepancies are found.
  • Participates in annual physical inventory.
  • Move products and supplies to carts, storage locations, and other merchandising locations as necessary.
  • Pick items based on customer orders, packing them securely, and preparing them for shipment with appropriate labels and documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to comply with safety regulations and operating equipment such as dollies and pallet jacks.
  • May perform other related duties as assigned.
