About The Position

Kanter Auto is a family-owned business that has been a cornerstone of the antique and classic car hobby for over 60 years. We specialize in hard-to-find parts for American classic and muscle cars, providing engine, brake, suspension, and other components to restoration shops, hobbyists, and collectors around the world. Under new ownership, Kanter Auto has undergone significant modernization and operational improvements over the past two years, positioning the company for continued growth. We are seeking a fast-paced and energetic Warehouse Clerk to support daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and order fulfillment. This role is responsible for accurately picking, packing, and organizing inventory while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient warehouse environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
  • Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory experience.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (or willingness to be trained).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with shipping and receiving operations, including unloading trucks and inspecting incoming materials.
  • Read and interpret sales orders to determine items to be picked, packed, moved, or shipped.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to designated locations.
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Restock inventory and fill stock positions as needed.
  • Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate labeling methods.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and cleanliness to ensure a safe and accessible environment for staff and customer traffic.
  • Participate in daily warehouse inventory projects and cycle counts.
  • Use computer systems to access and update inventory information as required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as manual and electric pallet jacks, electric stackers, and forklifts (as needed and certified).
  • Follow all company safety procedures and wear required safety equipment at all times.
