Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least one year of previous Warehouse experience in both shipping and receiving preferred.
  • Ability to work under time constraints with changing priorities.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work within time constraints and under pressure.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Experience using a PC including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet.
  • Operate forklift, hand trucks and other equipment in the warehouse.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, unpack, and issue material to stockroom, warehouse, or designated location.
  • Check goods received against bills of lading, purchase orders, etc. Maintain the required clerical records.
  • Effectively communicate with other departments.
  • Place materials, supplies, and other received goods on shelves, racks, or floor locations.
  • Make sure product coming from production is correctly labeled and properly packaged. Completes final staging of product to ensure shipments arrive at destinations undamaged.
  • Arrange for shipments of items by most efficient and economical means. Schedule shipping companies for pick-up of product.
  • Notify purchasing of shipping supply requirements.
  • Prepare and/or organize all documents for foreign and domestic shipments.
  • Issue materials to support production schedule.
  • Perform monthly and yearly inventory counts following prescribed procedures.
  • Follow and uphold all OSHA safety guidelines.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
