The Warehouse Clerk at Bruckner Truck Sales is responsible for the efficient handling of parts within the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, and maintaining inventory. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations in the parts department, contributing to the overall success of the dealership by supporting transportation providers with essential parts and services.

  • Verify and keep records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
  • Compare information such as counts, weights, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, packing lists, or other records.
  • Determine best method of shipment utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify discrepancies.
  • Operate forklift truck or use hand truck to move shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Change bin locations on parts when moving from one location to another.
  • Work closely with inventory clerk to assure that all new parts have correct bin locations.
  • Keep shelves and stock bins clean and in proper order.
  • Keep warehouse swept and clean.
  • Work closely with warranty clerk to assure proper routing and packing of warranty parts.
  • Work closely with inventory clerk to assure proper routing of core returns.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 2 years experience with heavy duty truck parts, automotive parts, or retail warehousing.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Basic data entry experience and computer skills required.
  • Ability to interact successfully with co-workers and recognize the need for urgency in shipping parts.
