About The Position

The Neil Jones Food Company is looking for a Warehouse Clerk I - Consumption at our San Benito Foods facility in Hollister, CA. The Neil Jones Food Company processes superior quality, fresh packed, vine-ripened California tomatoes and Pacific Northwest fruit. With headquarters in Vancouver, Washington, NJFC has been providing our nation’s discerning foodservice, retail, industrial and institutional customers the finest quality canned and pouched products for over 35 years. NJFC operates three production facilities: Northwest Packing in Vancouver, WA.; San Benito Foods, in Hollister, CA; and Toma-Tek in Firebaugh, CA.   We are looking for a Warehouse Consumption Clerk I for tracking and processing all inventory transactions while closing out daily production in an accurate and timely manner. Reconciles inventory transactions associated with item production runs and closures. Prepares documents, updates orders, and enters data into the company’s ERP system. Will provide support for other warehouse functions as assigned at our San Benito Foods plant in Hollister, CA. Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent; Associate degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred; or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the key responsibilities of the position.
  • 1 year’s related warehouse experience, including receiving experience, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years’ experience operating a computer; good Microsoft office computer skills, particularly Excel and Word; PeopleSoft MRP experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (read, write, and speak); bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test, work extended schedule and weekends during the fresh pack season, typically July to early October.

  • Associate degree in business, supply chain or related field preferred
  • PeopleSoft MRP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Closes production and verifies finished goods inventories and consumption.
  • Verifies accuracy of yield quantities.
  • Calculates and verifies accuracy of quantities of items produced, materials used and amount of scrap before running closing process for production.
  • Checks inventory quantities for all components used in productions and prepares work orders.
  • Coordinates production run items needed for orders with shipping department.
