About The Position

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk to support their facility in Decatur, Illinois. This role involves handling agricultural supplies and operating powered industrial material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks. Ryder aims to provide a safe supply chain environment with state-of-the-art equipment and offers various warehouse fulfillment specialist roles across the US.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrates customer service skills.
Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors).
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.

Nice To Haves

One (1) year or more clerical or warehouse experience
One (1) year or more experience operating forklift equipment
One (1) year or more Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)

Responsibilities

Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
Using the location's WMS system updates area or shift metrics as needed.
Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries often of a technical and/or confidential nature.
Floor work and additional duties as assigned.
Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift. Maintains filing systems and documents.
Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or if location specific.
