The warehouse associates at Summit play a pivotal role in fulfilling customer needs for materials and services. This involves receiving new material from vendors, picking customer orders for will call or delivery, participating in cycle counting and other inventory management practices, and providing backup for drivers as necessary. This position is Summit’s entry-level branch role, serving as an excellent opportunity to be introduced to the business and acquire skills, product knowledge, and industry best practices that prepare the associate for future opportunities within Summit.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Excellent driving record
At least 21 years of age
Valid Driver’s License
Time management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
Flexibility – ability to effectively adapt to change
Strong customer service orientation

Nice To Haves

Previous warehouse or driver experience
Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision
Aptitude for learning
iPad or tablet experience

Responsibilities

Pull customer tickets to fulfill orders.
Prepare orders for shipment to customers.
Receive and stock products on a daily basis to replenish inventory.
Understand products and their capabilities and warranties.
Assist sales associates in fulfilling customer orders when necessary.
Ensure warehouse and respective outside areas are neat and clean at all times.
Maintaining safe practices and proactively upholds Summit’s commitment to a safe workplace.
Provide backup for drivers as necessary and safely deliver products to customer locations.
Maintain a clean vehicle, driver logs and vehicle inspection reports
Ability to use iPad to review orders and collect signatures
Load and unload Summit trucks
