About The Position

Performs a variety of warehouse, inventory, facility support, and customer service duties to ensure smooth operations for fairgrounds events and year-round activities. Responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and transporting supplies, equipment, and materials while maintaining safety, organizational standards and strong vendor relations.

Requirements

Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control procedures.
Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely. (will train)
Strong customer service skill with the ability to interact professionally with vendors.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs).
Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and event-based schedules.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and document incoming shipments for accuracy and damage.
Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
Organize, store, and rotate inventory in warehouse and storage areas.
Pull and stage materials and equipment for events, fairs, and facility needs.
Coordinate daily with vendor deliveries and pick-ups, ensuring timely and accurate processing of products.
Provide direct customer service to vendors and contractors shipping to and picking up products from the warehouse
Maintain professional communication with vendors to resolve discrepancies and support operational needs.
Deliver materials to various departments across the grounds in a timely manner.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse and storage areas.
Follow all state safety guidelines and OSHA regulations.
Perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
Work collaboratively with event staff, maintenance teams, and vendors.
