About The Position
Corning is one of the world's leading innovators in glass, ceramic, and materials science. From the depths of the ocean to the farthest reaches of space, our technologies push the boundaries of what's possible. The purpose of this position is to ensure that materials in various stages of picking/shipping/receiving (finished or raw material items) are pulled and delivered to internal and/or external customers. This position includes significant duties such as picking up and delivering materials to the production floor using a cart or pallet jack, ensuring that transactions are properly recorded in required systems (SAP, FedEx, UPS, etc.), providing accurate and responsive material stocking, inventory management, and distribution of materials, contributing to the 5S departmental goals by maintaining the cleanliness of the production, shipping and warehouse areas, and performing other warehouse duties as assigned.
