About The Position

The Warehouse Associate position involves handling the receipt and organization of merchandise in a warehouse setting. The role is crucial for maintaining an efficient workflow and ensuring that products are readily available for sales and distribution. Associates will engage with vendors and customers, operate various moving equipment, and assist in restocking the sales floor with large items.

Requirements

• High School Education or equivalent preferred.
• 2 years previous experience in shipping/receiving, warehouse, or logistics role preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs overhead to a height of 92 inches.
• Strong communication skills to interact with team and supervisors.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with large furniture items handling.
• Knowledge of warehouse safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and receive merchandise.
• Operate hand-trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, and other moving equipment.
• Read and match merchandise SKUs on shipping slips to items picked.
• Sort and organize shipments in the warehouse.
• Maintain a safe and clean workspace.
• Focus on tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
• Engage with vendors, drivers, and customers positively.
• Assist sales team members with restocking the sales floor.
• Help clients load purchased merchandise into vehicles.
