About The Position

The Warehouse Associate at Pepsi Bottling Ventures plays a crucial role in supporting warehouse operations by performing various tasks to ensure the efficient handling of products and materials. This position focuses on maintaining quality control, operating material handling equipment, and adhering to safety and food security guidelines to meet business goals and customer demands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to pass forklift skills assessment and operate material handling equipment.
  • At least six months of forklift experience preferred.
  • Computer/Human Machine Interface skills required.
  • Mechanical aptitude is necessary.
  • Good math, reading, writing, and communication skills are essential.
  • Sorting and grouping skills are needed.
  • Ability to read and understand product labels and load ticket instructions.
  • Ability to count large quantities of products and materials accurately.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate controlled warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently performs a variety of duties within warehouse operations.
  • Verifies accuracy and quality of products received from vendors and shipped to customers.
  • Performs check-in/check-out duties and maintains proper records according to warehouse procedures.
  • Counts goods returned to the plant by sales and delivery personnel.
  • Safely operates yard switcher and trucks for loading/unloading.
  • Interacts with automation systems and warehouse management systems to verify and record product.
  • Identifies machine faults and performs basic cleaning and maintenance on automation systems.
  • Operates various warehouse material handling equipment to store, stage, retrieve, and load products.
  • Performs safety and pre-trip checks on assigned machinery.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work area through janitorial tasks.
  • Adheres to Good Manufacturing Practices and food safety guidelines.
