Requirements

  • This position reports directly to the Warehouse Manager.
  • This position is considered regular, full-time, and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • This may also include local travel.
  • Valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Must agree to (and pass) a background check, physical and drug screening testing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Forklift certification a plus.
  • Prior warehouse experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions.
  • Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Responsible for the movement of raw materials into the production areas to be staged into the work cells and within the shop.
  • Ensure that JIT (Just-In-Time) is happening, just the right amount of materials and supplies at the right time in the right place.
  • Keep the flow of the shop clean and smooth by taking on the occasional task such as material replenishment or staging.
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facility.
  • Assist in 5S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, and sustain), continuous improvement and Lean activities proactively and as assigned.
  • Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stack handling equipment.
  • Retrieve and organize pallets, totes, etc. as required.
  • Responsible for operating and cleaning centrifuge to ensure maximum quality and quantity in accordance with the company's objectives while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Daily operation of floor cleaning equipment in shop.
  • Maintain effective English communication skills: speaking, active listening, reading comprehension, written, oral expression, and oral comprehension.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness in and around personal workspace.
