McKenzie Electric Cooperative (MEC) is currently seeking qualified candidates for Warehouse Associate. Reporting to and receiving assignments from the Logistics Manager, the selected candidate for this full-time, benefited position will be responsible for maintaining the office building, shop, warehouse and grounds facilities, and provide material handling support for the operational needs of the Cooperative. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Transports products/materials to and from designated areas in the facility and maintains lay down areas. Operates motor vehicles and equipment, and is r esponsible for the maintenance and upkeep of equipment. Positions forks, lifting platform or other lifting device under, over or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products or materials and transports load to designated Weighs materials or products and records weight on tags, labels or production Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids or lifting device. Overhead lifting of 50# bags by hand, Lubricates trucks, recharges batteries, fill fuel tanks or replaces liquefied gas Maintains, repairs, and provides upkeep to all facilities. Support at other facilities or locations may be requested. Repairs/maintenance may include, replacing and cleaning of fixtures; maintaining security lightings; painting; cleaning of drains and sumps in shops when needed; building and installing shelves in buildings; and performing other minor repairs to facilities as required. Provides landscaping maintenance and care to lawns, trees, and plants. This includes but is not limited to mowing; maintaining the sprinkling system; cultivating, trimming, and pruning plants and trees; spray for insects and weeds; cleaning trash from trees and ditch and overseeing approved landscaping projects. Provides general janitorial services including, maintaining clean driveway and parking lots; keeps sidewalks around building clean from snow and dirt; cleaning of windows when needed; assist with the cleaning of shops and grounds; maintaining restroom facilities; maintaining an adequate inventory of cleaning supplies. Attends and participates in training programs for the improvement of job knowledge, skill, and Assists in preparing for Cooperative functions/events . As directed, assists in receiving, issuing, and warehousing of materials to meet operational needs. Assists with periodic and annual material inventory counts . Maintains a certification of first aid, CPR and other life saving techniques (training provided by MEC). Education/Experience: High School diploma or equivalent. Certifications/Licenses: Completion of Forklift License Program. A valid ND driver's license is a must, Class A CDL is preferred. Knowledge: Understanding of OSHA regulations. Ability to operate mobile equipment and power equipment. Skilled in properly and safely working with general custodian and facility repair equipment and tools. Familiar with heating and air conditioning systems. Experience with lawn care, horticulture, and irrigation of growing plants. Knowledge of underground sprinkler systems and maintenance.
