About The Position

Reports to: Warehouse Manager/Supervisor Purpose and Scope This position will be responsible for preparing and maintaining rental inventory for shipment to customers. Will also be responsible for assisting with minor building maintenance repairs. Shipping and receiving functions, from light to heavy, such as loading and unloading trucks are also performed.

Requirements

A high school diploma or equivalent GED is preferred but not required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Mathematical skills to solve problems
Must maintain a professional personal appearance.
Must be able to lift approximately 70 lbs
Must stand for an extended periods.
Work will be both indoors and outdoors with general warehouse conditions, in which some work areas may not be heated or air conditioned.
This job requires constant interaction with co-workers and with the public.
This position requires frequent lifting and a significant degree of walking, bending and transporting objects of various weights and dimensions.
May have exposure to chemicals, including but not limited to gasoline, diesel fuel, propane, kerosene and cleaning solvents. Propane is an obvious hazard; hence a sense of smell is required.

Nice To Haves

Computer knowledge is preferred.
Bilingual plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare equipment in advance prior to loading date to ensure timely deliveries
Load and unload trucks
Inspect, clean, and report any items that are not in required working condition.
Keep warehouse and work areas clean and neat — keep all shelves free of dust, keep floor swept, etc.
Report safety violations to supervisor.
Cross train in other positions, when necessary, for smooth operation of the business.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, rules and regulations in written or verbal form.
Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations.
Some overtime work may be required.
Perform other duties as needed.
