About The Position

Responsible for receiving, stocking, preparation and shipping of merchandise to customers in local and outlying areas.

Requirements

• The ideal Candidate will have the ability to operate forklift/pallet jack and cherry picker
• ability to lift 40-60 pounds repeatedly each shift
• ability to bend, stoop, climb, stand and twist for extended periods of time
• ability to successfully complete forklift training/certification requirements
• ability to operate a Radio Frequency (RF) or Voice Pick devices.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a functional capacity test.

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous knowledge of SAP
• one year warehouse experience
• previous forklift certification
• 6 months of previous warehouse experience and/or training preferred.
• Material handling equipment experience preferred.
• Reach truck experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately select/pick merchandise from assigned slot and confirm the correct quantity and unit of measure.
• Load Merchandise into appropriate truck.
• Drop merchandise for "reserve" to "pick" slots.
• Prepare VIA merchandise for shipment on freight lines.
• Repack loose merchandise for shipping/delivery.
• Verify quality of product, packaging and adherence to vendor compliance policy.
• Accurately adhere to Warehouse Labor Standard, “Preferred Method Standard”.
• Identify and report slot and put-away problems.
• Shrink wrap merchandise/pallets after picking as needed.
• Performs house keeping duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
