About The Position

Position Summary: (Overall purpose of this position) The Warehouse Associate pulls, packs, and ships products to assure customer orders are accurately filled and shipped on a timely basis Essential duties and responsibilities which must be performed to carry out the position purpose summarized above: (The following description is a general representation of the key duties and responsibilities of this position. Receives and unloads incoming material and verifies information on a packing slip to the purchase order verifying the accuracy of the shipment; may process return shipments from customers Sorts, counts, packages, unpacks inbound and outbound material Uses handheld barcode scanners to complete all necessary inbound and outbound material documents Pulls orders accurately through completion. Stages loading and unloading area with material Cuts aluminum and brush within required tolerances in accordance with production order guidelines. Inspects material used noting any damage or defect and notifying a supervisor or purchasing personnel Fills and maintains bins and racks, checks inventory levels maintaining all warehouse inventory and records Prepares shipments for transporting; determines the most economical and efficient shipping method. Selects appropriate shipping container; packs product to ensure safe deliver Enters data for UPS orders Operates forklift, loads and unload trucks Builds pallets Maintains pallet racks and aisles Operates punch press Performs housekeeping and building maintenance duties Assures compliance with all safety related regulations Bands and wraps skids; makes boxes Assists with inventory management; performs physical inventory Serves as a member of the warehouse team, provides assistance as needed Keeps supervisor inform on key issues Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Physical stamina and agility to stand, walk, bend and lift, must be able to lift 75 pounds
Data entry computer skills
Ability to use hand tools and operate a forklift
Mechanical aptitude
Basic reading and math skills
Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Keen attention to detail
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Entry level position requiring on-the-job training of 3-6 months
