About The Position

The Overnight Warehouse Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and preparing produce orders for delivery. This role requires attention to detail, speed, and accuracy to maintain product quality and meet customer expectations.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a refrigerated environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Basic math and reading skills for order accuracy.
  • Willingness to work overnight hours and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred; produce handling experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Load and unload incoming and outbound shipments.
  • Verify quantities and inspect produce for quality and freshness.
  • Accurately pick produce items according to customer orders and pack them securely for delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with stock rotation (FIFO), maintain organized storage areas, and report discrepancies.
  • Safely operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all food safety and OSHA guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth overnight operations.
  • Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials.
  • Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
  • Determine shipping method for products, using knowledge of shipping procedures, size and packaging of commodities, etc.
  • Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
  • Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages and shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
  • Requisition and storage of shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
  • Deliver or route materials around warehouse by hand, or by using power jacks and forklifts.
  • Work in a safe and organized manner. Dispose of all trash, and generally pick-up after yourself as you work.
  • Pack, seal, and label to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools and labels.
