About The Position

WAREHOUSE ASSOCIATE DESCRIPTION Mission of the Role The Warehouse Associate is responsible for completing daily warehouse functions that will satisfy customer requirements and expectations and for assisting the company’s Warehouse Manager in maintaining the day-to-day material processing both inbound and outbound. Key Duties & Responsibilities Directly responsible for unloading trucks, loading trucks, receiving, quality checks, putting away materials, and order picking. Accurate data entry required for recording receipts into system and entering product locations after movement of product. Stack and unload pallets as needed for shipment or put away. Read customer orders, work orders (green orders), shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed and/or shipped. Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to shipping or other designated areas by forklift or other common material handling tools. Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code. Ensure proper FIFO is adhered to. Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to shipping and/or designated truck. Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves. Relocate orders to a holding area or shipping department. Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate methods. Compare identifying information and count, weigh, or measure items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records. Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed via appropriate computer programs. Assist in counting physical inventory. Adhere to all warehouse GDP requirements. Perform daily and bi-weekly cleaning of warehouse areas in adherence to GDP requirements. Kitting when needed Create SOPs for the department and manage the SOPS through changes as needed. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid forklift certification
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner
  • Follow safety guidelines
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English
  • Frequently and repeatedly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance

Nice To Haves

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred
  • Previous experience with UPS/FEDEX online preferred
