About The Position

In a warehouse environment, perform a variety of activities related to the storage and shipping of raw material and/or finished product in order to support the overall operation and exceed customer expectations. Job Description 2nd shift union environment. Pay $27.06 per hour plus .50 shift premium. This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to read, write, and perform basic math
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to use and understand scanning technology
  • Safety Mindset
  • 2 years Previous warehouse experience preferable with metals
  • 2 years forklift experience
  • 2 years side loading experience
  • 2 years machine operator experience
  • Ability to use hand-held measuring tools
  • Proficiency with the computer beyond the basic level

Responsibilities

  • Perform sorting, stacking, cleaning, washing, stocking and inspection of cartons, pallets, or parts as assigned to support the operation
  • Assist in filling and packaging orders and completing paperwork according to instructions
  • Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material handling equipment to move/deliver stock
  • Assist machine operators with a variety of functions as required to support the operation
  • Perform general clean-up activities
  • Maintain all equipment in working condition; report issues or breakdowns to Supervisor or Lead immediately
  • Train others when required
  • Participate, support, and comply with all health, safety, quality, and Lean initiatives and requirements
