We are currently recruiting for a Material Handler and Delivery Driver to join our team! The Material Handler will play a crucial role in supporting our Warehouse departments.  The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing type of environment however, we are willing to train! This is an excellent opportunity for students! Position requires 20% delivery driving tasks. Valid License and clean driving record required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years of forklift driving experience required
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Delivery driving experience
  • Valid License and clean driving record required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reads production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to the production floor.
  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.
  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers.
  • Uses a computer to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
  • Drives lift trucks to transport stored items throughout the plant or to pick up items from department locations for shipment.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Deliver product to our local customers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
