About The Position

We are in search of a 1st Shift Warehouse Associate to join our growing team. The 1st Shift Warehouse Associate will receive and put away product and pick and ship order. This is a Union Position. Per the Collective Bargaining Agreement the starting pay for this position is $20.00/hr. plus overtime and pay differential opportunities. Warehouse Workers who become Certified Forklift Operators after hire are eligible to receive an additional $1.00 per hour on full shifts when they operate the forklift

Requirements

• Be able to do basic math.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift frequently up to 15-35 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Warehouse experience preferred, willing to train the right candidate.
• Forklift, reach trucks and other D/C equipment operation experience preferred, but willing to train.
• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, work is regularly performed while standing, sitting, walking, bending and reaching. Ability to frequently lift up to 15-35lbs, occasionally lift up to 50lbs.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift, reach trucks and other D/C equipment operation experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive and put away inbound receipts from vendors.
• Pick outbound orders.
• Provide general warehouse labor support.
• Visually inspects products for defects, setting aside defective items to one side on a skid for the rework department.
• Pack items in designated carton per customer orders.
• Place identification labels on outbound shipments.
• Report discrepancies to supervisor
