The Warehouse Associate role involves performing a variety of routine shipping, receiving, production, and housekeeping tasks. This includes picking, packaging, and shipping orders; loading, unloading, and stocking shelves; and material handling and cutting machine operation. This position reports directly to the Branch Manager.

Requirements

  • Warehouse and forklift experience

  • Effective communication/comprehension skills - verbal and written

  • Basic computer skills
  • Lifting materials up to 100 lbs.
  • Frequent standing/walking
  • High School Diploma or GED

Responsibilities

  • Performing inventory cycle counts daily – entering counts into system
  • Investigating inventory discrepancies
  • Checking and identifying material that is nearing shelf life
  • Accurately receiving purchase orders into the system
  • Managing the transfer of materials and equipment between branches
  • Prepare orders for shipment in accordance with the pick ticket and customer requirements
  • Notify the Branch Manager of shortages
  • Package and ship materials
  • Stock shelves in the warehouse
  • Communicate with Branch Manager on inventory - low levels and shelf life critical material
  • Use P21 operating system (training on system will be provided)
  • Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders to verify accuracy of shipment & enter into system
  • Sort, count, package, label, and unpack inventory that is received
  • Inspect shipments for damages, loss, or defects, and notify the supervisor of findings
  • Responsible for accurately receiving, reporting and putting away orders/transfers
  • Stock shelves in the warehouse
  • Operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading material and equipment
