About The Position

Turf Distributors is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Warehouse Associate. In this essential operations role, you'll be responsible for supporting various aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, picking, packing, shipping, and maintenance, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. As a warehouse associate, you’ll adhere to and support efficient operation of warehouse standard operating procedures, foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs without assistance, and 100 lbs with assistance.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays when needed
Familiar with manual labor, and ability to utilize basic tools, basic math skills
Ability to learn to use Microsoft suite, including but not limited to: Excel, Word, Outlook

Nice To Haves

Forklift experience
Two years’ experience general labor or warehouse preferred

Responsibilities

Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory control processes, including receiving, stocking, and picking orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment. Includes offsite courier activities and restocking.
Order Processing: Processing incoming orders accurately and efficiently, including picking, packing, and preparing shipments for delivery or pickup. Includes offsite delivery.
Data Entry and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, shipments, and transactions using warehouse management systems (WMS) or other software.
Quality Assurance: Performing quality checks on incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications. As well the maintenance and cleanliness of the operational vehicles.
Supporting Shipping and Receiving: Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, verifying shipments against packing lists, and handling returns.
Organization and Cleanliness: Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance with hygiene standards.
Collaboration with Team Members: Working collaboratively with warehouse team members and other departments to achieve operational goals and fulfill customer orders.
Customer Service: Providing support to customers and internal stakeholders regarding order status, inventory availability, and shipping inquiries.
Compliance and Safety: Adhering to company policies and procedures, as well as OSHA and related safety regulations, to maintain a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel.
Continuous Improvement: Contributing to process improvement initiatives by suggesting ideas for enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, and improving workflow.
Training and Development: Participating in training sessions to develop skills and knowledge related to warehouse operations, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
Documentation and Reporting: Assisting with the preparation of reports, documentation, and paperwork related to warehouse operations, inventory management, and order processing.
