About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for the day-to-day handling of incoming and outgoing goods, inventory control, and maintaining an organized, clean, and safe warehouse. This position requires frequent lifting, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a refridgerated environment (approximately 35°F) for extended periods. The ideal candidate will be a team player with prior warehouse experience, who takes initiatives and operates with a strong commitment to food safety, quality, and efficiency. The position is managed and directly reports to the Logistics Director of the Company.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 3-6 months of warehouse or related experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL Class B preferred.
  • Ability to use scanners.
  • Forklift certification or ability to become certified.
  • Ability to operate a forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Must have basic math skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 100 lbs. and work in refrigerated conditions.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Must pass a company pre-employment background, physical, and drug screen prior to commencing work.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, unload, and properly store incoming production materials in the plant and nearby warehouse.
  • Pick and pack customer sales using scanners and ship sales orders according to customer specifications and Company standards.
  • Maintain accurate inventory through regular cycle counts and system updates.
  • Ensure all products are properly labeled, stored and rotated (FIFO or FEFO practices).
  • Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized in accordance with sanitation and safety protocols.
  • Utilize forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move and store inventory.
  • Adhere to all Company safety, food safety (SQF), and hygiene regulations.
  • Identify and report damaged or defective goods to Supervisors.
  • Ensure documentation and labeling are completed accurately and legibly.
  • Follow establish SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for handling and movement of goods.
  • Contribute to ideas to improve warehousing processes and reduce inefficiencies.
  • Support coworkers to meet operational goals and timelines.
  • Demonstrate professionalism, respect, and adherence to Culture Fresh Foods Code of Ethics.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Logistics Director.
  • Maintain good safety and food quality through completing job tasks and maintaining the work area in a sanitary manner.
  • Required to wear food safety and sanitation clothing.
  • This position necessitates conformance to personal hygiene regulations.
  • Report food safety problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
