About The Position

The Warehouse Associate is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of the warehouse, including the material handling, shipping, receiving, and truck freight departments. A successful candidate will be able to be flexible in performing a variety of tasks, including flexing employees to meet business demands, coaching and mentoring, developing and providing adequate training, and ensure that the productivity, accuracy and efficiency metrics of the warehouse are met.

Must have demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, train and encourage others

High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Forklift certification or the ability to obtain

Responsibilities

Adjust personnel to maintain production level requirements, such as picking of orders or unloading and inspecting of all inbound goods
Implement the overall vision of the warehouse as it pertains to the overall Valley Truck Parts vision
Maintain clear and concise communication between the warehouse employees, upper-level management and cross-functional departments
Learn key aspects of Warehouse Supervisor job to provide backfill in the event of absence and/or vacation
Ensure each employee adheres to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and understands their importance
Facilitates dialogue between Team Lead and employees to hear, understand and implement process improvements
Inspire team members to prioritize tasks, work independently and maintain a safe, efficient work area
Coach, mentor, inspire, motivate and discipline employees, as needed
Support warehouse department and fill in with day-to-day activities as needed
Maintain the run sheet for all transfer orders sent to other stores.
