About The Position

Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate will be responsible for a wide range of inbound and outbound warehouse functions, including receiving, order selection, shipping, cleaning, and maintaining inventory accuracy as directed by the warehouse management team. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to safely operate warehouse equipment, and a strong commitment to safety, productivity, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Previous experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and procedures.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekend hours.
  • Must be able to pass a background and drug screening for hire and randomly throughout employment.
  • This role requires flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed. Each employee is assigned a regular start time on their first day, which remains in effect unless the role or schedule changes due to business need. When possible, schedule changes will be communicated at least one week in advance. Employees are expected to stay until all assigned duties are completed.
  • Physically capable of frequently lifting products weighing 1-75 lbs, with occasional lifts up to 100 lbs. Must be able to reach heights of up to 72 inches, and perform constant bending, twisting, and standing for extended periods while operating equipment and retrieving items from lower shelves.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capability to work in non-temperature-controlled warehouse settings or delivery field environments.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate warehouse equipment, including electric pallet jacks, forklifts, reach trucks, and cherry pickers, to transport, stage, and move product.
  • Utilize assigned handheld units to generate labels and correctly apply labels to product.
  • Hand select, pick, and pack orders accurately within various warehouse environments of fluctuating temperatures, including non-temperature controlled, temperature controlled, and bonded holding areas.
  • Receive, handle, and stack product on pallets in accordance with proper warehouse procedures (for example: do not stack heavy on light product, labels must face out, etc.).
  • Stage pallets accurately for loading, shipping, or storage in designated dock and warehouse locations.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by selecting correct cases and promptly reporting discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Shrink-wrap product on the loading dock to ensure load stability and product protection.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment by following sanitation requirements, aisle assignments, and completing end-of-shift cleanup duties.
  • Maintain and safely operate all assigned equipment, including pallet jacks, forklifts, handheld units, and required personal protective equipment. Perform required pre- and post-operation inspections.
  • Work collaboratively with warehouse team members and other departments to meet daily productivity goals and deadlines.
  • Attend all required company meetings and daily safety meetings.
  • Follow Globalternative Solutions’ preferred work methods at all times and immediately advise supervision of any unsafe conditions or equipment issues.
  • All other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
