About The Position

At Great Western Building Systems (GWB), established in 2016, the company has become a powerhouse in the Pre-Engineered Metal Building industry, known for precision, strength, and craftsmanship. GWB is seeking a motivated individual to join their Warehouse team. This is an entry-level role responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving shipments, organizing materials, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment, emphasizing hard work, teamwork, and strong attention to detail. Requirements

  • The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check is required
  • 1+ years of experience in warehouse operations within a manufacturing environment
  • Ability to learn inventory tracking systems and warehouse operations
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with the willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety best practices and adherence to OSHA regulations
  • Must be able to walk, stand, use hands to handle tools, reach with arms, kneel, stoop, crouch, and talk and hear in noisy environments
  • Must be able to regularly lift and move objects weighing up to 51 lbs independently and occasionally lift and move objects up to 100lbs with the assistance of team lifts.
  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using computer systems for inventory tracking (NetSuite experience is a plus)
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus but not required (training will be provided if needed)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with receiving and processing incoming shipments
  • Organize and track warehouse inventory using RF smart scanners
  • Load and unload materials and components safely
  • Support inventory counts and maintain accurate records
  • Ensure quality control for outgoing shipments by following proper procedures
  • Work closely with team members to meet shipping and production deadlines
  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe at all times
  • Follow all safety protocols including wearing PPE and required PPE at all times. Required PPE is defined as gloves, safety glasses, and steel toe boots. Additional PPE, such as hard hats, flame-resistant clothing, hearing protection, face shields, respirators, etc, may be required depending on the specific tasks being performed or the work area
  • Duties, responsibilities, and reporting relationships may fluctuate or evolve in light of your skill, experience, and the company’s needs
