Position Summary The Warehouse Associate is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse. This includes managing inventory, maintaining warehouse cleanliness, and supporting various logistical tasks. This role involves assisting with packouts of product, managing inventory accuracy, maintaining warehouse organization, and handling product shipments and deliveries. In addition, this role is responsible for ensuring a clean and safe working environment. The role is critical to supporting daily warehouse operations and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of inventory counts and order picking.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts, order preparation, and shipping.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move products up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to operate equipment and machinery such as pallet jack, hand trucks, cardboard bailer, and forklift (upon training and certification)
  • Comfort with working in a warehouse setting, including exposure to various environmental conditions (temperature, noise, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (or the willingness to get certified), hand trucks and cardboard bailer is a plus.
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience is preferred.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS) or basic inventory software is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct inventory counts for shipping materials including, but not limited to, envelopes, bubble bags, shipping labels and printer paper.
  • Collaborate with warehouse leadership to ensure inventory stock is sufficient for forecasted orders.
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing products as they arrive in the warehouse and preparing orders for shipment.
  • Preparing, pulling and carting ice packs to comply with seasonal shipping requirements.
  • Ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized daily by managing trash bins, bailing discarded cardboard, organizing stock and ensuring workspaces are free of hazards.
