About The Position

A&M Industrial is a family-owned, leading industrial distribution company seeking career-oriented individuals to join their warehouse logistics team. Due to continued company growth, they have full-time opportunities available in their Cranbury, NJ distribution center. New employees receive hands-on training and opportunities to grow as the company expands. The Warehouse Associate plays a key role in daily warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, order picking, inventory handling, and material movement. This position requires accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Must be safety conscious at all times
  • Previous warehouse experience required
  • Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, or similar equipment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a self-motivated attitude
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to safely use ladders and warehouse equipment
  • Basic computer skills
  • Fluent in English
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality required
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must be able to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift, reach truck, cherry picker, or similar equipment certification
  • RF systems experience

Responsibilities

  • Verify and audit items for sales order shipments
  • Pick and pull items based on order specifications (number, size, quantity, quality)
  • Prepare, pack, and stage orders for shipment (Ground, LTL, domestic, and international)
  • Ensure order accuracy prior to shipment
  • Mark, label, and shrink-wrap skids or containers
  • Prepare bills of lading and schedule carrier pickups (online or by phone)
  • Maintain accurate shipping records
  • Receive incoming shipments (LTL, UPS, FedEx) and verify counts and condition
  • Inspect deliveries against packing slips and bills of lading
  • Open boxes and break down skids to verify contents
  • Report discrepancies, damages, or shortages to Customer Service
  • Use RF systems to receive, stage, and put away materials
  • Assist with inventory counts and organization
  • Transport materials using pallet jacks, hand trucks, or forklifts
  • Load and unload trucks as needed
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, reach trucks, cherry pickers, etc.)
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform general warehouse and clerical duties as assigned
