About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our steel distribution team. This role involves handling, measuring, and moving steel materials while maintaining accuracy and adhering to strict safety standards.

Requirements

  • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately (required)
  • Strong understanding of workplace safety practices in an industrial environment
  • Ability to lift heavy materials (up to [50–75 lbs]) and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Basic math and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous warehouse or industrial experience preferred (steel or heavy materials experience is a plus)
  • Forklift or crane experience/certification is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming steel materials and products
  • Accurately measure steel materials using a tape measure to fulfill order requirements
  • Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks (training provided if needed)
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
  • Ensure materials are properly labeled, measured, and stored
  • Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines at all times
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned
