About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Warehouse Associate to join our steel distribution team. This role involves handling, measuring, and moving steel materials while maintaining accuracy and adhering to strict safety standards.

Requirements

Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately (required)
Strong understanding of workplace safety practices in an industrial environment
Ability to lift heavy materials (up to [50–75 lbs]) and perform physically demanding tasks
Basic math and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous warehouse or industrial experience preferred (steel or heavy materials experience is a plus)
Forklift or crane experience/certification is a plus

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and store incoming steel materials and products
Accurately measure steel materials using a tape measure to fulfill order requirements
Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment according to specifications
Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and pallet jacks (training provided if needed)
Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
Ensure materials are properly labeled, measured, and stored
Follow all workplace safety procedures and guidelines at all times
Maintain a clean and organized work environment
Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned
