About The Position

Established in 1926, Mutual Trading Co., Inc. was originally a small co-op organization for centralized purchasing of basic import foods to service the needs of the early Japanese immigrant society in Southern California. We've grown nearly 100 years old now, and command a premiere position among Japanese foodservice suppliers, as well as fill a key role as "Culinary Ambassador" promoting Japanese foods worldwide. Since 2011, our affiliate, Yamasho Atlanta Inc. takes pride in providing a variety of restaurant items ranging from non-food to dry and frozen food products to our restaurant customers in its current location in Chamblee, GA. Today, The company is dedicated to meet and exceed the customers’ expectations and create an unique experience to our customers with the explosion of Japanese food and culture in America.

Requirements

Basic level English – Read/write/speak/listen
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and afterhours as needed
Must be able to drive a stand-up reach forklift and sit-down forklift
Maintain a positive attitude
Ability to work independently and as a team
Ability to adapt to frequent changes in workload
High School Diploma required
2+ years of relevant experience preferred
Basic mathematical knowledge – combining/converting measurements, counting inventory, weight, etc.
Communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to reach, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds frequently
Ability to handle and move 50+ pounds assisted frequently
Ability to sit in a car for extended periods of time

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Japanese foods preferred

Responsibilities

Pick and assemble orders as indicated on the pick list
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by providing accurate and timely assembling
Support deliveries as a backup delivery driver
Document, record, and complete driver log when making deliveries
Stack and organize warehouse pallets
Assist receiving with unloading, stocking, and inventory check in a timely manner
Coordinate with salespersons to assemble urgent deliveries to customers
Participate in the weekly warehouse meetings
Provide logistics support for Company events and functions outside of normal working hours
Coordinate semiannual inventory count on designated day, possibly on a weekend
Other duties as required from manager
