Position Summary Responsible for receipt of inbound orders, product put away, inventory adjustments, pulling and checking customer orders while maintaining safety procedures and company standards of food safety and quality. Other responsibilities may include all of the following; USDA and USDC inspections, X-tuple experience, product labeling, loading and unloading, overall dock coordination, ability to drive hostler, transporters, forklifts, and other equipment as well as performing all general warehouse responsibilities when needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1+ years of direct related experience and/or training
  • Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrates professional writing skills and the ability to correspond articulately.
  • Exhibits strong public speaking skills to represent Richmond Wholesale to various stakeholders.
  • Analyzes data and situations to solve routine and complex problems.
  • Applies sound judgment and decision-making skills to resolve issues.
  • Maintains professionalism and composure under pressure.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, and walk, with occasional lifting up to 100 lbs. without help and bending
  • Wear applicable gear required for the job and environment (e.g., safety boots, cold gear)
  • Operation of warehouse equipment (e.g., transporter, forklift, wrapping machine, pallet tipper, etc.)
  • Capable of hearing and speaking effectively for communication purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and follow all safety processes and procedures, including food safety and quality standards.
  • Report safety needs and violations; notify management of unsafe or non-functioning equipment and complete lockout/tag-out procedures as required.
  • Perform USDA and USDC inspections.
  • Adhere strictly to company employment policies, departmental operating procedures, and all federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Safely load and unload products without causing damage to goods or equipment.
  • Handle products, including hand stacking, labeling, stamping, lifting, wrapping, and other assigned tasks.
  • Operate warehouse equipment (forklift, transporter, wrapping machine, tipper, etc.) with proper certification.
  • Maintain clean work areas and ensure vehicles are staged properly; perform general housekeeping (sweeping, garbage removal, etc.).
  • Ensure incoming deliveries are received on time for scheduled appointments.
  • Put away inventory and perform inventory adjustments.
  • Check and ship customer orders accurately according to requirements.
  • Verify product labeling accuracy and decipher product dates and codes as needed.
  • Assist with cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and AIB projects.
  • Work with urgency to meet production schedules while maintaining safety standards.
  • Communicate and coordinate tasks with the Warehouse Manager or Supply Chain Operations Director.
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of xTuple and MS Outlook for operational tasks.
  • Communicate employee issues and operational updates to management promptly.
  • Actively maintain a collaborative spirit with other departments to promote workplace harmony and productivity.
