We provide customers with products and solutions within Fluid Power, Fluid Process, Fluid Conveyance, General Industrial Components, and Industrial Service & Repair. www.sun-source.com The Warehouse Associate will receive incoming merchandise as well as pick and pack customer orders, stock merchandise, assemblies, and daily local deliveries.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
- Previous work experience within a warehouse distribution environment preferred
- Previous shipping/receiving experience including experience with FedEx, DHL or other shipping programs is preferred
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the day and lift up to 75 lbs as needed
- Forklift experience is preferred
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency to include use of MS Office programs.
- Must be organized and have attention to detail
- Valid Drivers License with a clean driving record
Nice To Haves
- Previous work experience within a warehouse distribution environment preferred
- Previous shipping/receiving experience including experience with FedEx, DHL or other shipping programs is preferred
- Forklift experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Pick Distribution Center Orders:
- Collect product required for orders
- Inspect packaging and product for damage
- Process pick tickets
- Distribute finished product to customerâs assembly area.
- Pack Distribution Center Orders:
- Pack merchandise properly to insure safe arrival to its destination.
- Label packages appropriately.
- Ship Orders:
- Prepare barcodes, manifests, and invoices.
- Maintain shipping records.
- Calculate shipping costs.
- Determine appropriate mode of transportation and process accordingly.
- Receive Merchandise:
- Verify accuracy of inbound shipments.
- Prepare and process reports.
- Distribute merchandise to stock locations.
- Other Duties:
- Product assembly work as needed
- Daily deliveries to local customers
- Maintain Warehouse: clean as necessary, load / unload, restock
