As a Warehouse Associate at Caterpillar Inc., you will work from a variety of source documents to verify part numbers, part locations and quantities. In addition to counting parts and filling orders, you will conduct first line, basic quality assessment of parts for damage and defects. Available Shifts: We have several openings on multiple shifts starting at $18.80/hour! Our off shifts have additional premiums included! Candidates will be started as soon as a position becomes available on their requested shift. Please note this could cause a waiting period before starting. Special Announcement: It was recently announced that PSLD Lafayette operations will be moving many of their positions to the facility in Lebanon , IN over the next two years. These positions are included in the upcoming move. Requirements

Conducts daily maintenance and keeps tracking safety logs on equipment.
Inspects working environment to promote safe work a rea .

Responsibilities

Operating heavy equipment including sit down forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, and overhead hoists.
Perform material handling and warehousing functions such as unloading, sorting, putting away, picking, packing and shipping parts, materials and supplies.
Read process flows and follow detailed instructions to ensure the movement of material within a warehouse .
Track and record hourly or daily activities completed during each shift.
Attach identifying tags or labels to materials or mark information on cases, bales, or other handling units .
Reliability is important, be on-time and maintain a good attendance record to safely and efficiently meet the needs of the customer.
