About The Position

As the premiere Raymond Solutions & Service Center in the Northeast, Pengate Handling Systems built a reputation based on cutting-edge innovation, quality products and outstanding service. In addition to the full line of Raymond forklifts and equipment, we offer comprehensive material handling solutions to take your day-to-day warehousing and distribution operations to a new level of performance and productivity. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to support our in-house shop technicians and daily warehouse operations. In this role, you’ll assist with shipping and receiving, verify outgoing orders, move forklifts throughout the facility, conduct basic maintenance on forklift batteries, and complete quality and damage inspections to ensure equipment is ready for our customers.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1–3 years of experience in a material handling environment (preferred)
  • Experience with forklifts and lift truck batteries (highly desirable)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Additional experience may be required based on operational needs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and CRM systems
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Customer-focused mindset
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to adapt to changing customer needs and industry trends
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of internal personnel and customer operations
  • Proactive and self-motivated work style

Responsibilities

  • Pull, stage, and prepare customer forklifts prior to shipment
  • Verify outbound orders against shipping documentation
  • Transfer, store, and organize inventory within the warehouse using a forklift
  • Perform basic industrial battery maintenance (charging, watering, cleaning, testing)
  • Conduct basic forklift inspections for quality, safety, and damage assessment
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including aisles and work areas
  • Move company vehicles as needed to support warehouse operations
  • Perform other duties as assigned
